DarkStar wrote:2 - not confirmed, seems to deselect slices Ok here
yep, strange.. on my corporate notebook testing 2 hours this morning i had it, now at home it works flawlessly.. i must have made something very strange to achieve that behaviour but cannot reproduce anymore.
DarkStar wrote:a) how are you meant to use the [Locate] function and what does it do?
with locate active you can click any event in the arranger and the slicer automatically jumps to the corresponding file and selects the source slice. this is handy when you built tracks containing slices from different file-sources.
DarkStar wrote:b) I can select multiple events with Ctrl+click, but what can I do with them then (couldn't find a way to, say, adjust the Pan position of only the selected events).
ctrl+x/c & ctrl+v ;)
DarkStar wrote:c) I can Copy an Event with Ctrl+c, buy how do I paste it at a different position (preferably at the current mouse position (snapped if enabled)?
you can't. right now copy&paste just copies events from one track to another keeping the position. well, afaik ;)

Welcome to 'Team Liveslice!'

2x tracks of 128 events managed to kill my system :(

Better go a little easier on it!

That should definately not happen - what are your system specs? I never see CPU spikes on my system, even when playing lots of tracks / arrangements at once. There could be some problems with win98 and old graphics cards though.

Do you mind describing in more datail what you were doing and what happened?

I'm new to Liveslice too. Had it about a week and loving using it in Ableton via Energy XT VST. You're in for a treat Soarer!

The 1.4 update is like Christmas come early. Cutting and pasting of arranger events and selecting multiple events creates so many new options for live performance.

This is probably the wrong thread (and a bit early) for a new FR, but more than anything I'd love to see more MIDI channels - to match the generous number of audio outputs. The internal features are totally essential, but I feel that controlling external paramaters is where I can really imprint my own style.

Thanks Ohm!

updates are sent to the email you used when registering - so to upgrade, simply check your email :-) I'm using the 7-zip format because most email servers allow these attachments. the sender is always "support at livelab dot dk" and the word "liveslice" is always in the subject line, in case you need to change some spam filter settings.

Hi ohm

FR: A half tempo button.
FR: Zoom in track/Expand track

I like to double the lenght of the tracks to make longer tracks. At this time my only option is to double the slice number in each track and set my host(SX2) to half the tempo. I do find this a little awkward though, so a half tempo button would be great. With LS's high quantize resolution this should be no problem.

Of course it would be perfect then if I could also zoom in horizontally so that the placement of events would be easier.

Or if I could expand the gui horizontally! Not possible at the moment, right? I know it can be expanded vertically. It seems that LiveSlice has become my new audio editing "host" so I wouldn't mind if the gui takes up the whole screen at all. So that would be a great option.

What do you think?

I guess I can just use more arrangements. It wouldn't be the same though. But more arrangements would be welcome too.
