Further to this, when trying to render offline, I get:shamann wrote:Using 1.4 in Audiomulch, anytime I try to load a wavefile in Mulch's loop player contraption when Liveslice is open, Mulch crashes with an EZeroDivide error.

I can confirm this, with a 2-bar loop and a single hit. And Arrangements tracks of 32 beats. The GUI becomes very slow and jerkyspuddle wrote: Essentially I have a 1 bar loop of 4 beats. This is split into 16 slices. I assign 32 beats to an arranger and then lock the loop to a track which repeats the loop 8 times (128 events).
Next a load a single hit sample but reduce the number of slices to 1 and assign that to another track. That one gave me 64 events. At this point the graphics seem to slow down slightly, a bit of a delay in clicking stuff. I glance at the CPU monitor and it shows no CPU hit at all.

Also,
When I load a single drum hit (it's a Bongo - 8KB only)
I get this:
And the playback is distorted and out of time,
And the GUI slows down
Ohm, I have emailed the sample and screenshot to you.

R.A.W BR 3
Oops, I did not do the test correctly. it is fixed.
But I cannot get dragging a Slice onto an existing Event to replace the event:
- add 2 loops
- use [lock to loop] to put the first loop on the first track, deleted some events
- turn on [locate]
- drag Slice from Slicer over an existing Event in Arranger
The original event is not replaced.
- the dragged slice is inserted after the "last touched" event or in the space that was most recently emptied
- if the track is full of events, the dragged slice goes "underneath" the "last touched" event but it does not playback, the existing one does
RAW BR 5
Yep, I get what R.A.W said
- when [locate] is on, and you select a paramter,
- you have to click once to deactivaste [locate],
- then the parameters work.
It would be better if [locate] were deactivated automatically when a parameter is selected.

I think I saw posts somewhere that mentioned copying of events. Is that possible? Is it within a track?
In the version history for 1.4 it says:
1. select a range of events
2. change parameters on all selected events simultaneously
How do I select a range of events?
I think the manual and Command Guide needs to be updated as they are rather old and lacking IMO.

Right-click first, Shift-Right-click last: voila...Soarer wrote:I think I saw posts somewhere that mentioned copying of events. Is that possible? Is it within a track?

...Basically the same shortkeys as in windoze explorer.
And, Jacob:
Thanks for these handy new features.
Cheers,

? -Right clicking is previewing the slice! You mean Ctrl+left click, right? That works very well, completely like explorer. I hold Ctrl down while selecting/deselecting different events. Left click first event and Shift+left click last event makes a range of events.
But when I have a range of selected events and want to change the pitch parameter for example for all selected events, how is it done? It deselects the other events as soon as I click on one event to change the parameter.
BTW I found that pressing Alt while selecting an event locates the event to the slicer. Very nice!
Still I cannot copy or paste events within a track.

hi,
apologies if this is known (or intentional), but:
the rec panel hides the undo button.

Here's a few things [from v1.4.0]:
FR010 the "locate missing loops" window
- can the right hand end of the file name be shown in the window?
- currently it shows the start of the path, from C:\ . . . onwards
FR011 "Volume parameter values"
- can the Volume parameter values be shown in -dB
FR012 Copy selected events to a track in a different Arrangement
- currently, Copy and Paste only works within an Arrangement.
Q001 "Snap to zero crossing re-enabled"
- I am not too sure about this, when does it happen?
- Is it only when you use the Sensitivity control to slice a loop?
BR010 Colour is always saved
- the current colour setting is always saved in the LiveSlice.ini file whne you close LS
BR011 Ctrl+right-click an event no longer works?
- Ctrl+right-clicking an event used to remove the slice but keeps the empty event
- this no longer works
- is this by design or a BR?
BR012 Selecting an Event moves it
Previously I reported
- if the event is not quantized, then you cannot select it without it moving
- you should be able to click anywhere on an event to select it
- if you want to move it, just drag it
================================
Any thoughts?

yep, sure do
- select the events (click or Ctrl+click)
- Ctrl+c
- select the desitnation track (click in the empty part of the track header)
- Ctrl+v
That should do it

1.41 beta 1
As far as display updates it's working like a charm. I would have the random feature going while locating slices. I would adjust the BPMs as i page up/down the arrangement etc. etc. Working well for me.
The only minor thing i noticed is when altering the pitch in lock mode, only the 1st slice, along with the play locater, respond visually to a "+" pitch range (where they divide in color 1/2 light and 1/2 dark). If i alter each slice indivdually, they visually respond fine.
BR1: If I stop playback & then resume, only the page up/down keyboard shortcuts work. In order to have key shortcuts for the envelopes to work, I have to click on an envelope with the mouse .
BR2: Actually, not sure if this is a bug or if something changed but i can no longer toggle arrangements with the mouse. I can only toggle via MIDI.
That's it for now. I'll play around some more later.
One FR: Is it possible to implement an EXT feature for the settings page where CNTRL/LMB (or whatever) activates a MIDI learn for CC/Note settings? This beats scrolling through notes/cc numbers

Could not reproduce this. I am using the latest beta of Ext. and also tried it within Bidule.Furthermore I've had a bugreport about crashes when copying text from the color text box on the setting page and then clicking in another app - please try to reproduce this in your host as well.
