eXT works very well in FL as well
I'm still trying out FL however from the way it looks, I may use EXT as an fx/synth layering rack but with added flexibilty cause of the modular environment.

-or- since FL can be used as a VST as well, i may use it as one heck of a drum module within EXT.

Once EXT2 comes out, i will see what's best.
I can see using these two simultaneously is some SERIOUS music felxibility.

yeah I'm looking forward eXT2 as well, I really like the arp...I used the layers in FL for a short while on drums, but discovered the advantages of multi-velocity samples and started using vsampler with various drum soundfonts. But then I eventually got DFH1, and then I liked that so much I have stepped up to DFHs...:)

Interesting. Have you checked out Jamstix yet? I'm thinking of buying it.

not yet, but it works with DFHs so I've been thinking about it an awful lot lately...;)

Jamstix is enormously cool. I bought it recently and it's like having a virtual slave drummer at your demand. It can jam to audio without any programming at all, amazing stuff.

The control in the plugin is also very good as you can be very particular about how your drummer drums using it's brain. Of course you can also use just the samples or use jamstix brain with external drummer samples like DFH or BFD, but TBH the jamstix samples are really good IMO and very "real" sounding to my ear, the other kits the huge high priced ones sound too "glitzy" to me.. Also it comes with tons of premade patterns you can use in it's playlist/sequencer.. It's great VFM IMO. Rayzoon is also coming out with virtual bassist, which if it's anything like JamStix in terms of brain, I'm there! Perfect compliments for lonely recording guitarist :P

That's the thing, i can play drums but not here in this apartment. And i sure wont pay enormous rental fees just to play at some rehearsal place. I am real finicky with drums so i can take use up alot of time with just one song.
So i figure if i can get something in the plug in realm that sounds authentic, i'll go for it. I downloaded the demo and i see i have to do some time with it as far as learning how it works.
I'm willing to dive in as long as i can get authentic sounding drums. Meaning it sounds like a drummer is playing.
