Grr... where are good, poppy house/trance kicks?

Hi, I have been on the prowl now for a little while, and I have accumulated quite a large amount of so-called dance and trance kick samples from messing around these forums and elsewhere. However, with the exception of one or two (the two I use again and again!) all of these samples have way too much low end and no pop making them sound bad/nonexistent on poorer quality speakers after mastering. Obviously, a good processed, electronic kick needs to have a hi-freq. pop at the beginning so no-bass speakers can still hear the kick, why are so many samples produced so muddy and without this feature? I don't have a wave editor at the moment, so I can't just draw myself a glitchy line from 0 to the first peak to achieve this, so I need to get a sample with it already in it. Can anyone help me get some usable kicks that I can use for trance? Please help me, and thank you!

Finding good drums is hard, but they are out there so just keep looking!
Check out Audacity Audio Editor. It's free and you can cut samples up. You could use that feature to cut the click from another sample to add to your bassdrum, and compress and EQ and all that stuff.
