Are the video tutorials part of the demo? Right now I'm doing what I usually do with a new product which is RTFM from cover to cover and noodle around with the software. A video tutorial or two would be great.

Thanks

No, they're not part of the demo.
I think it would be wise of them to allow at least the basic ones for demo users.
The tutorials a great and the fact that you get them for free is amazing, all the rest of my virtual music production providers charge quite a bit for the quality of video tutorials that FL gives you for free.

Many thanks Riley - I just ordered the Producer edition with your discount link.

Now AAARGH! I have to wait for an email from them so I can register. Apparently 65% of all orders are made with stolen credit cards, so they manually check them all.

How annoying.

Thank ****** for that - they sent me the mail

generally IL is quite quick at this, as you have seen...:)...have fun, if you have questions, ask away...if you feel the need you can also pm me with questions...;)

Hink,
When using FL6 as a VSTi, How can I get the midi out to my host sequencer Live 5.2?
I Want to use the splendid chord and scale generator in FL6 to populate midi channels in Live. I know how to set Live up to accept midi in, I just can't seem to get it out of FL6 as a VST.

Thanks! Riley

oh sure, ask me about one thing I've never done. :hihi: However I just opened FL in Sonar5 and I selected FL multi studio dxi...I don't know anything about Live at all...however, looking at it in Sonar I would suggest using midiox to connect the two...it appears that would work in Sonar...set the midi out port to the same port you select for midiox in the midi options on FL...then select the same midiox channel in Live's midi input... :)

I'll bite. :P

Try using something like VST2NET (available in TobyBear's excellent midibag) or alternatively NicFit's MIDI_Out VST ( http://asseca-pt.net/nicfit/midi_out.html ).

You'll also need a loopback MIDI device. Sounds worse than it is. Basically, it's a virtual midi cable that 'tricks' windows into believing it's an actual phsyical MIDI device. You can use either MIDI Yoke ( http://www.midiox.com/ - This is the one Hink mentioned) or LoopBe1 ( http://www.nerds.de ).

Here I'm using NicFit's MIDI_Out plugin in FL Studio to send an arpeggiated chord (arpeggiated using FL's native arpeggiator) to send to Scorpion. Both are hosted inside energyXT.

MAKE SURE THAT THE MIDI OUT ISN'T BEING RECIEVED BY FL STUDIO IN LIVE. You will get a feedback loop which could cause a rift in time and space. A bit like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters.

Very cool Hink and Fandango! Thank you! I'll let you know how it works out. Riley

O.k., I'm in...I'm about to pull the trigger on buying FL Studio, but before I do, I just want to check one thing. Can anyone tell me about their protection scheme? I would like to install a copy on my studio computer and my laptop. Do I need to buy 2 licenses? Or do they allow you a few courtesy installs?

Thanks

I'm not sure, I only have it on one PC. I'm sure you can put it on at least 2. I'll check the FAQs.
