Hey,
Just a quick update on the new kits at Prokits.co.uk for you all.
Our latest Engineer 'Michael Bietenholz' has been working on some great sounding, unique and highly playable kits for Kontakt 2. He has built some brilliant kits that fully exploit K2's potential. Check them out using this link:
K2 Kits
Of course they are also available in other sample formats.
Also take a look at 'Pluggotics' range of Stealth Kits that are full of dark edge ambient sounds.......
Stealth Banks
He has also developed the amazing stealth VSTi - check it out at..
Pluggotic.com
Finally a totally unique kit - A fully sampled old upright piano due for the scrapheap full of delights can be found here....
Dead Piano
And don't forget we are always looking for talented new engineers to join the site and sell their own sample-kits. Check out the register page for more details or send me an email.
Cheers.

Damn, I thought this was about drum "kits"!
(Is there a rule somewhere that every music term has to be used for at least two totally different things?)

Hi Kaneda,
Have you ever considered adding SFZ to your sample format arsenal? You'd have a happy customer here and likely many more.
Also, have you considered Wusik format?

Hi Bradster - I have considered adding many different formats to the site but the amount of server space required restricts me a little.Bradster wrote:Hi Kaneda,

However - we can supply any of the kits in any format - If you see something you like send us an email and we will convert the kits, place them on the site and make them available. Very soon the site will include full automatic downloads that will also allow us to add different formats to the site so please stay tuned.
Thanks for your comment and remember - If you want a certain kit, just ask, I will do my best to help.
Cheers,
Glyn

Thanks for the speedy reply and the offer!
I went and ordered the 'Overtone' kit (you had me with the 'subtonic monks in the cathedral caves of Cerulean 4' description -- whack!). For the price, I'm going to see what I can do with it myself.
SFZ format, in case you're not familiar, is just a mapping ASCII file that accompanies the .WAV's (or .OGG). So it wouldn't add any signficant storage requirements.
If successful, I can send you my DIY .SFZ file for Overtone.
Thanks again...

some of the mp3-demos sound superb, one a bit like Legendary Pink Dots-early works (cathedraldemo), and the mellotron one like a classical piece.
