Translator does as well, and I think it doesn't do that additional level.amyhughes wrote:CDExtract allows you to keep the original directory structure or not, and it allows you to specify destination folders. Very handy, but it still creates at least one too many levels of sub-folders.chickeneps wrote:the users wish trumps everything =) so I'll see what I can do to get that into the next update.
Kontakt2 will never get that specific, but there's nothing stopping you from orgainzing things yourself after the import. Making a flat structure probably takes about 20 seconds.amyhughes wrote:What I'd like is the ability to create the structure myself, then drag samples here, instruments there, name the instruments, hit the convert button and have it put things where I've specified, named as I've specified.
But I can do that in Translator quite easly. We are making a full-functioned Batch Processor where you can do exactly that; enter in an entire Akai CD, it show you on a grid where everythig is set to go, then you can change it from there, then hit that TRANSLATE button, and it's exactly as you describe. (You can also make idvidual decisions before the actual import, like name changes and even parameter "hints" like "brighter sound" or tuning offsets or anything you want).
