I thought bass strings just kind of 'clunk' when they break :?, never had one snap on me but i hope they dont fly off like violin strings (which I have had broken in the past).

Had one snap on me, luckily the tree at the bridge took the tension and I didn't lose an eye.

ok i worked it out - that is odd way to do it having the tremolo and delay tempo linked - why not just make the tremolo and delays speed/time knobs have a little "sync" button next, which when on restricts the knobs values to the standard 1 thru to 1/32...
Yep! Grymmjack hit the nail on the head :) In order to setup on the FX I would have had to change the UI :( Man you have no idea how making even the crap GUI's I've made kills me  So with the chance of having grymmjack do it right, I figured I was best off to wait to do those types of things as it take me very long to do graphics and the thing would never get released :)
No host sync was provided on the chorus or phaser because to me they are more of a feel FX then a mechanical in time thing  But thing can change from here? One thing I want for the phaser and eventual flanger is manual sweep so you can automate the sweep how ever you want?

And come on gang be nice :hihi: But yes I do like the fact of no DONGLE :hihi:

Peace

Did I hear you say, "eventual flanger"?!?!?!?

YES!!! :hail:  :band:

Thanks!!!!

--Sean

P.S. Flange would be a good one to have an option for syncing to host. :-)

Post

Awesome - a flanger!!! yay!!!

on that note - will grymmjacks ui accomodate that? btw are there any wip images of the ui grymm? anything to show? theres none on your site...:(

For sure we're trying to beat IK and NI here. This is a chance to chew on and kick some big-dog asses, and you can count on it that the UI will try it's best (and I will take every step needed) to do just that. IMO the sound is already much more playable and realistic, even if it doesn't have all the crazy presets/modular design/saturated with effects. Let's humble those greedy IK/NI f**ks.

Dongle this, motherf**ker!

:tantrum: And today, the donglies are out on the News page with this BS:

"The AmpliTube 2 demo version is only available to users equipped with any Syncrosoft USB dongle or "iKey". Users must have it present in their computer at the time of installation, or the AmpliTube 2 demo version will not be activated. The Syncrosoft iKey or USB dongle can be found in many recent software packages (from IK, Steinberg, Arturia, Korg, Vienna), through any traditional music dealers, or can be purchased separately online."

:hihi: :nutter: All I can say is that, from my POV, the makers of those overpriced software packages can cram them up their asses, in the box complete with DVDs and manual, and a dongle on top as a cherry.

Stupid is as stupid does, my family always said.

My 'lower-fi' reference was to the reputed 'fab' quality of IK, etc. samples sets. Since our end product is most likely 16-bit WAV or MP3... :hihi: you fill in the rhetorical question implicit in the dots...

Provided the CPU hunger is tamed, I'm sure FASE1.5 will be quite good enough for anything I try guitarwise in the virtual world.

pfft. A dongle required for a demo. What's next, renting a dongle?

Do people realize that the dongle protection code eats their CPU? I read somewhere that the cubase dongle code was like 50% of the code in cubase or something which ate like tons of CPU. What a waste, and as a paying Cubase customer it was enough to make me switch away from cubase to something else not dongled (T2)...

Don't these bloodsucking companies understand that when users move away from their product they lose money that they could have had from devout user staying loyal and upgrading year after year after year?

Idiots..

Rent-A-Dongle, now there's a new business. Download a dongle on your cellphone!
