I'm thinking about buying Cakewalk Music Creator 3. There is no demo so I tried the Sonar 5 demo instead. I actually like it and it runs smoothly on my system. Since my wallet is very limited I can't afford Sonar so I need to know what the main differences are between the softwares. I didn't find any comparison table at Cakewalk (maybe I'm blind) so I need some help here.

I've been wondering the same thing. Even if it turns out to be just a rehash of an old version of Sonar, the fact that it has support for DX and VST instruments and effects and ReWire make it very compelling! That, and it sells for $40... and with the capability to handle 32 audio tracks and 128 MIDI tracks? It looks good, really good.
