BR4/ Changing colors (LiveSlice.ini)

couldn't reproduce either. Strange. In the next beta I'll change the behavior of the color changing so that settings are only saved to the ini file when you click "save settings as default", then please test this again.

It appears that the problem with changing colors not working unless I delete the LiveSlice.ini file, only occurs with Savihost (http://www.kvraudio.com/news/5272.html), I tested LiveSlice with Live yesterday night, and it just works fine!) (therefore I think it's mainly a host problem... anyway, it's not very annoying as I use Savihost with LiveSlice only to do some tests when I am not home )

you should get energyXT for doing that.. the demo just works great for quick-checks (and doesn't need to be installed - if you quickcheck at work ).

that's how i got into eXT and soon after i bought it coz it's a great host and also a great addition to other hosts.

FRs done in v141 beta 2
FR010 - the "locate missing loops" window
- the right hand end of the file name is shown in the window

FR011 -"Volume parameter values"
- the Volume parameter value is shown in -dB

BRs fixed in v141 beta 2
BR 01 - Inserted Events don't jump around now

BR 02 - Moving Event by LMB
In the Arranger, with Snap=16, for an event that is 2 or more 16ths long:
- with Snap on, if you LMB in the second 16th of the event, it is just selected, it does not Snap to the second 16th

BR010 Colour is always saved
- the current colour setting is now only saved in the LiveSlice.ini file when you click "save settings as default"

BR011 Ctrl+right-click to remove the slice but keep the empty event works again

BR012 Selecting an Event does not move it now.


RAW BR 3 Dragging a Slice onto an existing Event to replace it now works

LS 1.41 beta 2 - BR

i found a bug concerning the filebrowser.
- use mousewheel down or the scrollbar and move down to a subfolder in your samplelib, preferably one with no other subfolders but many files
- click on the folder
- you'll see that one sample gets loaded to the looplist and the filelist doesn't start at the top though the scrollbar is on top

this seems to happen everytime i click a folder when the scrollbar isn't at the top in the parent folder before.

B.R. with the Recording functions [v1.41 Beta 2]

BR1/ Recording with sync enabled, doesn't rename loops automatically
1 - Launch LiveSlice (or LiveSliceEffect)
2 - Click on rec
3 - Enable sync
4 - Click on start
When a loop has been recorded, the name of the slot stays as 'empty'

BR2/ LiveSlice(Effect) doesn't record audio with some hosts
The record function of LiveSlice seems to work in EnergyXt (Demo), but records an empty loop in hosts like Live etc.

BR3/ Recorded loops drifting out of sync
1 - Launch LiveSlice (or LiveSliceEffect)
2 - Start the host's sequencer
3 - Click on Play in LiveSlice
4 - Feed LiveSlice with a tight synced drum loop (like 'techno' ones )
5 - Enable sync + mon + mix
6 - Click on start/stop
7 - Repeat step 6, 3 or 4 times in order to capture several times the loop
The final result is not well synced, the loops are being delayed each time start/stop button is hit in LiveSlice (is it a problem with LiveSlice handling 'synced commands' or with the host/computer itself?)


BR4/ Crash when rec + sync + mon + autoslice + automute
1 - Launch LiveSlice (or LiveSliceEffect)
2 - Start the hosts' sequencer
3 - Click on Play in LiveSlice
4 - Click on rec
5 - Enable sync + automute + autoslice
6 - Click on start/stop
After having recorded one loop, LiveSlice crashes (doesn't occur each time... maybe a 'buffer type' problem?)

Can anyone confirm some of these B.R.?

- but it was displayed correctly sometimes)
- and in some cases the name was displayed correctly after I did another recording
- I think it's just a screen refresh issue.

BR2 ?? don't know
- can you supply more details, so I can reproduce this
- if you have Sync on in LS, and LS is a component in the eXT Main window, you need to enable the Main Window Master synchronizer.

BR3 - ?? don't know
- I am not sure that I followed your steps properly, can you please clarify?

Actually, you won't be able to reproduce it in eXT, but only in hosts like Live. In Live, the record function doesn't work: if I record a loop, I get an empty loop instead with v1.4x versions of LiveSlice?! Whereas, it just work fine with older versions of LiveSlice (I.E. v1.38 )

Just try to record the same loop several times with the mix button enabled, you'll find that each time a loop is recorded, it is not perfectly synced/stacked over the previous ones...
