Hi guys....I was wondering if someone could give me some guidance with regards to my specific needs. I've joined the group buy a few days ago, after hearing the UBK demos and how much better these are than ANYTHING else I've heard! I specifically wanted to find out if there is a difference in using the UBK soundsets in Station v Guitar? My main aim in this is as a bass vsti but obviously Station is a little more flexible than just as a bass instrument. As a guitarist I don't have a lot of need for a guitar plugin but if there are serious programming advantages to using the ManyGuitar over the ManyStation I'd like to know what they are! :) (I did read your note on the site, Paul, about using both for different purposes but as funds are limited at the moment this is an either/or purchase for me at the moment)

thanks

Geoff

manyguitar is it's own product and I am NOT SURE if you can use UBK in it - but I KNOW Manyguitar comes with a broad selection of Basses (possibly from the UBK collection). The many line of products is top notch and cannot be beat. Manyguitar is one of the single best purchases I have ever made and I use it on almost every track. For leads, rhythm, distorted/crunch, acoustic and bass, it is hard to beat (power and performance versus price). The UBK, which I also bought, is also excellent. Buying both is like a one two punch considering they are two very different products. If you have to buy one, I would have to say Manyguitar - it's just THAT good (for basses too).

Hi

Well the truth is they are all different in their own ways.

We started with ManyStation and it contained 1.5 gig of material. It included about 650 meg of Basses and Guitars as well as a bunch of synth and other instruments.

For ManyGuitar we took that 650 meg of Guitar and Bass samples and we added another roughly 650 meg of incredible new Guitar and Basses. (As ManyGuitar includes some of the material from ManyStation, we offered the slight crossgrade special price for ManyStation users... they can save $20.00 on ManyGuitar)
This new material in ManyGuitar is only available in ManyGuitar and not available for ManyStation separately. But if you own Both Products ... Then the new material in ManyGuitar also shows up in ManyStation.

We then have our UBK - Ultimate Bass Kit, which is a completely different set of Samples and none of them are included in either ManyStation or ManyGuitar. UBK is a Soundset/Sample add on for both products and can load into either product. (At this time UBK only includes presets for ManyStation, but the Soundsets will load into ManyGuitar and because of the Sound Wizard in ManyGuitar ity is simple to create new presets.)

The difference mainly between ManyGuitar and ManyStation is that ManyGuitar has an Amp Sim and FX designed for specifically Guitar work, where as ManyStation allows Layers and WaveSequencing and Blending of samplesets and different Modulation options.

The main thing being that even though there is some overlap of material .... It sounds completely different in both instruments. There are 700 presets with ManyStation and a bunch of them are Guitar and Basses, in fact there is a whole bank of 96 presets called "GuitarStation" within ManyStation. Well these are VERY different sounds than we achieved with the 128 presets and the Sound and FX Wizards included with ManyGuitar. This due to the features that each synth has.

So .. Tough decision you have ahead.... but i can tell you ...Most of our customers like Mike above, own all our stuff and find a use for all of it somewhere.
I know i just LOVE all our Products and would have a hard time myself making a choice.
We will allow a bit of a grace period for you guys to pay in the group buy.....so perhaps we can work a way for you to pay it off over a bit of time if you want all the Goodies! We are easy to work with here!

Thanks Guys
Paul
