uh...
I know this is not the IK forum, but there are some pretty smart people here.
I have tried and tried, but amplitube doesn't show up in my list of vst's for any of my hosts, but it is in the f##@ing FOLDER.
what the hell did I do wrong?
any pointers?

What platform are you using it on? Amplitube 2 is an AMAZING sounding plugin...I thought A1 was "OK", but A2 is just the absolutely most killerest smoking digital guitar sound I've ever heard...

oops sorry, I'm using it on XP
I've installed it, uninstalled it... the works. It's license is on my USB key, but I can't see it in my hosts so I can't activate it.
I hope someone here can help.

you have to activate it using the Synchrosoft "License Control Center" Application, NOT from within the plugin itself...

It is activated through the LCC, it is visable in my LCC. It's just that my hosts don't see it.

....I got it to show up in energy XT and I authorized it, restared my computer a few times and still can't get it to be seen in Live5 or chainer.
anyone out there have the same problem?

yeah, I'm sure it works. I had some seriously weird issues with the LCC. I got that figured out. now this!. I hope someone can chime in. I've actually never heard of this before.
I'm not some vst noob either. and I have a two year networking/ computer support degree and have worked almost three years in the IT department with over 180 computers. I might be stupid in most areas, but I'm sure I'm at least above average when it comes to computers.

Probably tough getting help on a Friday night. But, if you can get in touch with Jason from IK then he can walk you through it to help you find out what it is. Or you can mess with it until it works...sometimes that is what it takes. That said, I didn't have to do much to get my AT2 to show. Guess it can depend on one's system.

It's working fine in Live here and has from the start so let's see if we can track this down.
Please don't be insulted if these are too basic but sometimes we can overlook simple things.
1) Are you sure the dll is in the VST folder that Live is scanning at start-up. As a test, I would physically remove it to another folder, start Live, shut-down Live, put it back in the folder and re-start Live and see if I see it being scanned by Live on the openning splash screen.
2) Assuming #1 went well, are you looking for it in the right browser folder - i.e. in the VST plug-in folder NOT the Live plug-in folder (simple I know but sometimes we forget.)
That's all I can think of at the moment - I'll se if I can think of anything else. Again, sorry if they were too simple.

I drug A2 out of the VSt folder, started live... then brought it back in and would'nt you know. It should up in live.
prior to that I had done a few rescans and whatnot, nothing worked.
Now a few questions about some of you A2 users.
Does it ever make your system crash? Mine crashed at least 4 times in a span of half an hour. I think it doesn't like the freeze function with Live.
does the GUI seem a little slow to you? the GUI of A2 doesn't feel to snappy. I wonder if this is just me.
On another note, the sounds are awesome. I'm glad I got it. I'll get the wrinkles ironed out and be happy.
