So you offer a scratching service? Is it cheaper if there's no CDs involved in the service(FTP uploads?). The demo is killer

Post

Eventually i will be able to do ftp uploads but my internet connection isnt very fast and the files are quite large smail mail would probably be faster iam planning on getting a new computer and internet connection soon. 8) I offer a scratching service were u mail your samples i scratch them then send them back to u here is a example of my mates work using this service the tracks most annoying sound and water technique. http://music.download.com/moodswinga/36 ... ong_artist

Iv now changed it so you still email your sounds but instead of of getting them on a cd i will give a download link so its cheaper. 8)

this is a very cool idea, theres been a few occasions where i wanted scratching on a song but sadly its not within my powers.

£2 through paypal is a great pricepoint as well, its almost throwaway cash :)

i've bookmarked your site, next time i come across something that works i'll give you a shout.

cheers,

steve.

I read it as $12 not 2, it was late at night. Even then it was still cheap considering someone's providing a service that can make or break a track. Dont you think that 96khz 24 bit is the best format for doing digital scratching? Or do you not hear a difference beyond 44.1? Just curious.

Post

£2 so about $3.50-$4 kind of part way between anyway

personally i don't think it would be important to have anything higher than 16bit 44.1khz wav (infact i'd probably degrade it as soon as i got it anyways.

cool service, i'm tempted to have one done of any old sample anyway as its cheap and sounds cool.

cheers,
steve.

It was £12 for a cd but now they are downloads so I can cut the cost of not having to make and ship cd's. Sample rate's can be 44.1kHz 48.0kHz 88.2kHz 96.0kHz the higher the sample rate the more bigger the file is so a lower sample rate would give you a longer sample ther really isnt much difference between the rates that u can hear.

People should have a look at http://otsturntables.com/ before spending money. Though I must admit, that you'll never beat a real dj.

I think this would be a good piece of software if you could use virtul controllers like timecoded vinyl or cd.
