pHz I agree!
Now, as far as the nice look of a gui... That's fine. MUCH more important is work-flow and usablily: Having the controls in the right place, using informative faders, knobs where appropriate, graphical when approrpriate etc.
This is the big big problem with several synths. It can make all the difference in the world whether I actually program a synth or just hit the "randomize" button a lot.

Dunno how much I'd have to contribute, but would love to read other's opinions and thoughts.

You ain't kiddin'! I tried for the first time last night to tweak a skin slightly (Darkstar's Brushed-Blue, a very usable skin and my personal fave at the moment) and quickly realized that I absolutely had no idea what I was doing. It probably took me 30 minutes to change a font color into something that was only slightly more pleasing than Darkstar's choice. Basically, I had no clue as to what colors would work and why. So a big thank you to all you GUI designers and skinners for all your work! You make my life as an end-user much easier.pHz wrote:since theres WAY more to it than nice shapes and colours and a site like KVR ought to be at the cutting edge of ideas on this subject ...
Quick question though, is there any way to change the font color of track routings in the sequencer? I couldn't find a way to change it.

Nope! Good catch, that's a missing GUI object.wilsontherocker wrote: Quick question though, is there any way to change the font color of track routings in the sequencer? I couldn't find a way to change it.

@Eklipsis:
i like that deep-tek elementor skin very much.
your 'elemental' is my most used skin up till now, but i think i might switch it this new one.
you did the battery skins too, din't you? whoever that was, i like them a lot as well.

.Jon: glad you like it...for the main mixer thats what i tought i wanted to have a nice lay out to see clearly the functions...
for the reversed grid i know my grids are always reversed..
...changing the grids affects other colors specially in the sequencer so i guess its a compromise and since personnaly i dont mind the reversed grid i go with nice colors instead...
I always loved the original a-tek_deep from nicfit specially the colors so i used them on one of my skin...
I did the battery skins...
Well another skin coming up soon...another variant again of elementor...its coming nice and little bit different...Sand ,shades of blue,grey and some orange...
