Can it be used like Recycler where you work a wave file and save it to be used at a later time? in other words, save the altered file to your hard drive.

Not yet, it can't. It's designed more for playing/sequencing at the moment. Export may be somewhere on the future feature list, though.

i might add that LS is capable of saving wavs in acidized format, though.

so you can at least save the file with slicemarks integrated.

And, of course, you can render the track(s) in your host.
