I just bought wizooverb. I have and use SIR, wavearts masterverb, UAD-1 plate, and AA. I also have, but don't use, the other reverbs on the UAD-1 and reverbs on the poco, plus the reverb in reaktor (which I love but forget I have), and a bunch of semi-verbs like wavearts pan & stereo wideners.
I don't know what the right number is, but I think I have too many reverbs.

If you're asking yourself this, then it's high time to focus on Music, man

When do you have too many of any one kind of effect? For some, anything more than one is too many, for others there can never be enough. I suppose the answer falls somewhere around "Do you know how to make use of what you have already and do you actually use them?"
Some folk have a lot of stuff just because they have the means to acquire lots of stuff. In that case, they probably have too many, but certainly wouldn't feel that way.
Funny, I actually don't have many reverbs installed, and while I have a few commercial reverbs, I tend to reach for Aciddose's freeware xhipreverb first almost every time these days.

rest assured - you have too many reverbs. so what.
a little reverb never killed no-one (tom waits, roughly).

I find contemplating questions like this is a lot nicer than contemplating the deadlines for delivery I have over the next 3 months or so . . . and actually working on meeting those deadlines?Boulotaur2024 wrote:If you're asking yourself this, then it's high time to focus on Music, man

I think the limit is there, when you can't decide anymore, which one to usebobby yarrow wrote:I just bought wizooverb. I have and use SIR, wavearts masterverb, UAD-1 plate, and AA. I have fruity reverb. I usually forget it exists. Delay is sexier.

You're not actually asking a question -- just bragging, yes?
