Here's a clip of what I'm talking about. This is just a short loop I made playing Mr Tramp and Miles'tone. I don't know, it may suck, but it sounds great to my ears.

Sorry if this has been asked before but 60 pages is too long.
I get random brightness notes (without using any CC for anything)..is this a normal behaviour of the plugin? It makes it very unpredictable in terms of expresion and this is one of the main reasons why i am not using Milestone quite often.
Am i doing something wrong?

I tried it from a keyboard instead of my usual wx5 and yah its hard to get anywhere close.
a trumpet by its natural response will play different notes way brighter and darker, its something keyboarists will freak out upon.
this could probably be the first vsti that takes practice to sound good on, but i like that aspect.

mm..its really very annoying..i dont think a trumpet by its natural responsre can oscillate this way. some notes are completely disapearing. i'll try to make a sample for you later.

No. We must be strong. We must be brave. We owe it to Guido to keep the thread alive until at least one of two things happens:tuz wrote:let's lock this thread to prevent any more torture. :p
a) Guido releases "v1.0" of MilesTone officially, or
b) Guido releases a beta of SoulTrane.

I have some thoughts on this:Polite Company wrote:Practice or an ungodly amount of automation writing.this could probably be the first vsti that takes practice to sound good on
1) sing your horn parts into a good mic and record as audio tracks
2) Midifier or better still Melodyne, export your vocal to MIDI
3) MIDI track to MilesTone
4) someone else already suggest4ed this I think. Tried it with Midifier but don't have Melodyne. Like what I got and can only get better.
5) try it!

Time to bump up this gem once more. I agree with you on that one. I know it is a damn long time since anyone posted in this thread but I just gotta ask: How's your plugins going Guido? Can't wait til your sax arrives.kevink wrote:No. We must be strong. We must be brave. I think he's just polishing the plugs. But we haven't had any more mp3 clips for feedback. Maybe he's consulting pro horn players for feedback. Who knows? In the end we'll all know what was happening. I just hope he keeps it away from the likes of Arturia...Yamaha...etc.
