I can't believe I'm the first person to pipe up with confusion here...

If, as the instructions say, Manystation will not work unless both the VST file and the data files are installed, then why must Wusik users install the data files to the Wusik directory? Is it a seperate plugin or not?

I understand that the engine is the same, but if the data files can be used in Wusikstation why would the installation instructions say that the Manystation VST file must be installed?

The Manystation VST Installer also updates some DATA files. That's why. ;-)

Drat!!! I was hoping to get back here before anyone responded. Everything works perfectly if one just follows the instructions. In fact, they are some of the best installation instructions I've seen. Oh well.

Leave it to William to beat me to the punch! Thanks much. :)

Exactly ...all works perfect ;-)

A Brief explanation in case others wonder about this...
Some guys may wish to just run the soundsets and presets for example in WusikStation. You can do this but the VSTi installer not only contains the VSTi, it also has a small bit of the data and other files that may be updated regularly. It also contains the over 700 Hand Crafted presets.

This makes updates easy as then users never have to download the BIG Data files again ... Only the smaller VSTi updater file is all that is ever needed to be downloaded when we release a new version.

But as you said, Simon our Manual Writer explains it in detail.
And William beat me to the punch too ;-) But I'm Longer winded.
lol

Glad you got it all sorted without trouble anyway.
Cheers
