Yes.
This ups idea is still better... IMHO
- because instead of yet another file format, it would always include the MIDI and audio as separate files as well, together with assembling instructions. The wrapper file would be readable with any text editor (or with a ups reader freebie plugin), allowing easy manual rebuild of a project even with non-ups hosts. More of a standard way of operations than just a file format.
