a new time-strecher from iZotope " RADIUS "

It seems that iZotope has just released a new time-streching processor for mac, and a version integrated to Logic :

it looks like something that rivals with Serato's "pitch'n time" processor

Well it's really hard to tell how good it is from the samples they provide. Nothing with really tricky transients (like a drum loop or a complete dance music track with lots of things going on at the same time). The kind of music on their web site is easy to stretch, and the "transient sensivity" setting suggests transient detection (which is prone to misdetected transients, hence, reverberation artifacts).

Just my 2 cents worth.

In fact, if i've listened correctly: there is an extract ( harp+ piano ) with a 400% stretch. and it seems that it this case of extreme settings some of the attacks of the harp's most discreet notes are missing ...

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I think 400% is pretty much for time stretch anyway, I've never heard any algorithm that does that kind of stretch without problems. Still I'd be curious to hear it with other sound files (preferably my own). I tried ChronoStream recently and while it sounded great with the examples they provided it failed miserably with my own files... so I'd be very careful when buying something that claims to do perfect time stretch that isn't on the market for at least a couple of years...
