Midi (FL and Oxygen) question...

--Potential dumb question warning!--

I have FL studio and M-Audio Oxygen 61. I am new midi, not to FL.

I can't seem to set the midi channel on the oxygen.

For example: If I try to set midi channel on the Oxygen to 03 and then I go to multitimbral DirectWave or SFZ+, I would expect the third channel's program to play. It does not. Everything is still through channel 01.

What am I not doing?

Also, how does omni work? And is it possible to play through certain channels, say, 3, 4, and 5?
