Hey folks! I just bought Audition for Windows. As I'm installing it now, it says it wants (needs?) Win XP Service Pack 2. I have a tuned and perfectly working Windows configuration presently on my (offline) studio computer and I really really don't want to install SP2 with the risk that something gets screwed up. Do I really need SP2? Anyone knows what Audition needs SP2 for? I'm thinking that living without some Audition features could be an ok tradeoff. But if the program's going to be generally f**ked-up, well I suppose I must take the chance with SP2...

I'm fairly sure that it's only required for video.

I'd give it a whirl, and if you have major problems and don't want to install SP2 (no problems with it here FWIW) then I believe Adobe have a 30 day money back scheme.

Art, thanks man!

I also have Audition, and running on a XP SP1 without any problems!
