Hmm. A lot depends on what the email says. I have no problem with ilok . . . I actually wish everybody would just use the same thing. The price bump is alot, but like some of the other plugins we use these were undervalued compared to waves, URS etc.
I can sort of understand selling out. Hope they got a pile.

That's exactly how I felt after shelling out around $500 for Logic Audio, only to find out two weeks later that my platform is no longer supported, nor will I recieve updates for my buggy, obsolete software unless I buy a macLagrange wrote:I'm thinking this is what motivates coders to move to the darkside.... I purchased Firium about 6 mnths ago and it really changed my whole sound (for the better).. After that I purchased the whole line of plugs (even inspectorXL).. I feel that EA has tottaly stabbd me in the back!!

Why has the price doubled? Well I bet the new copy protection has something to do with that.
Roger Nicholls is such a naff name for a plugin brand. He sounds like a second hand car dealer. I think his ego has got the better of him.

This wasn't a merger, so I'm guessing the owners of Elemental made a profit from their sale of the company. Their profit becomes an expense for the new owner which in turn gets passed on to their customers. It's a rare day when things don't unfold in this manner.
Ciao!

This blows!
However, maybe I'm odd man out in feeling happy that I purchased everything before this crap... I have absolutely no need for updates, as as the current suite of plugs work great.

What a shame. I'm speechless here. Pity that so great engineering is wasted on the temptations of money. My disgust in this system of selling software this way has grown considerably through this. Its almost microsoftian of our new best friend Mr. Nicholls. Although MS has the courage to pay some people to come up with reasonable names and style.
That whole thing reads like a joke, and I still hope that somebody is about two months back in his schedule to present us such a farce.
To quote his website: "Fuzzy Logic- did we mention Fuzzy Logic?"
Please go away.
[edit]I must add that I feel sorry for the guys of EAS. I hope that you had some unavoidable monetary need that caused you into this or else I can only offer you my shaking head for all eternity[/edit]

The c/p was just reg codes, before, right?
Can't remember, but I hope so because I have Finis and I use it all the time. This kind of thing would scare me if I owned plugs from a company and they were c/r.
