Hey, I really like your stereo width analyser going right through the frequency spectrum. That's one thing I wish IXL had (it has some nice stereo width meters, but not a width across frequency plot like yours. Very nice!

yes, very unfortunate and greedy. luckily, with all the freeware around etc. I doubt it'll happen. Particularly because many devs are themselves musicians. as regards inspector, someone suggested http://www.voxengo.com/product/SPAN/ earlier in this thread (or for that matter that nuGen one). it's free and should be able to do somewhat the same things as inspector xl. I haven't tried it yet but am looking forward to it. So if we just direct people to these instead when they ask, the users should move to use different vst's. (I don't care about him either by the way)

Too many cool companies are getting swallowed up. I guess it's the way things are going to be. If you can't beat em'; buy em'. This one is very disapointing. Eqium and Firium are two of my favorite plugs. EA's support was always good too. I can and will continue using them, but I won't be going with any iLok version to stay with them. I'm just waiting to hear the Sonalksis got bought up too. That will really make it a bad day.

He is a world famous engineer maybe he is going to redevelope the plugins or something. My friend did work for him at Sony.
Still I don't think Elemental Audio was getting less hipe there plugins are pretty unique there eq's and compressors were not the standard gui's for those plugins, and you could find positive reviews from most sites and magazines.

I'm sure I'm "way" in the minority here, but I would be OK with a Syncrosoft dongle. I've not had any trouble with it in the years of using Nuendo, Halion and The Grand. But, I still prefer a simple serial number. I like that the best. I don't care for iLok, but I can see the developers need to protect themselves from piracy. I just hope RN doesn't make up some stupid name for the plugins. He shows a real lack of taste with his other plugins. They "may" sound great, but I wouln't buy them, just to send a message to him. There is rarely a free plug with that bad of a name or graphics. I agree with dave, I hope Alexy and torben don't get bought up. Though, it's hard to pass up money ...

Maybe this is old news, but I just went to RN site and found that the Bitchin ' izer and the other rediculous plugins are gone. Maybe they were just there as placeholders for what now appear to be Neodynium, Eqium, and Firium. I would have still stuck to the original names, but at least these are not totally stupid. well.. maybe a bit.

As someone who doesn't use bent software, I completely agree with you. But when one small dev treats customers like this, it makes you think twice about spending money elsewhere.

Doesn't make me think twice. I had been thinking about buying a couple EA plugs but hadn't yet and now will not be, but if I had I would still be able to use them. If I can use an $80 plug-in for even 2 years, that is still a great deal. Some small devs are going to go under. Some will thrive. Some will be thriving now, and years from now go under. If you buy 6-8 plug-ins from small devs and a couple of them need to be replaced in 2-3 years because there are no updates, you are still making out great on the price/performance chart.

EA could never overcome the clipping problem with that plugin, and it wasn't skin-able.
