pdc ms display plugin?

Even though mosts hosts are fully pdc compatiable, I still find myself needing to find the pdc introduced to counter-act in another channel..

is it possible to create a plugin which just displays the current latency introduced? I can understand that fx plugins only report their own latency to the host, so a plug might only be able to see the latency of the plug it's _after_, but is there a way to bypass this?

...it's not VST, but Christian Budde's VST Analyser program will tell you latency....
