Hi,

Using rewire,
I can play my fl studio in ableton, but I cannot play my ableton in fl studio.

Is it normal ?

Post

If what you mean is that you can't have any VSTs active in Live (instruments or effects)- yes, that's normal. You should be able to ReWire straight audio tracks from Live, though.

hmmmmm. If FL6 is the master, could I use the Live Sequencer to drive instruments in FL6?. It would be cool to have Live's easy interface with FL6's sound and stability.

It'd be the other way around, open FL as a vst or rewire it to Live so you can use Lives sequencer to sequence FL instruments.

You know, if Live had a piano roll that mimiced FLs as far as tools capabilities..... :-o
I wouldn't leave my home.

Yeah, chords, scales, random, quantize.. Pretty nice stuff. I like Live better because I don't have to hold down the shift key to move groups of notes around... Is that lazy or what?

It's little things like this that make ALL the difference so no, it's not laziness, it's "Get me the quickest and easiest route possible so I can focus on creating".

This is why i like Live's session view. To piece a song together in this fashion is IMO the best method so far. There are a few workflow improvements needed but it's spot on.
