Does anyone know where i can get a delay that will let me change the delay times in increments of 1 ms (or less) that does so smoothly. What I am thinking of is something such as a software equivalent of the delay on the pioneer djm 500, turn the feedback right up and you can achieve a comb like response. I think that Woolford used it for this record (if I am wrong and anyone can suggest what he used i would be grateful!)

for those of you that don't know the track you can take a listen here. . .

I have tried one of the toby bear fx which is cool but you get zipper noise when going from say 1ms to 3ms. . .

Thanks to anyone who can help. . . .

Maybe this will do the trick: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/747.html

Being a Tape Delay emu, it should handle changes of the delay time smoothly.

And welcome to KVR!

GRM Tools (delay)

How does it work?

Up to 128 delays, controlled in their amplitudes and timing, are distributed within a range of up to 6 seconds. In the stereo version of this plug-in, the delays are assigned alternatively to the left and right channels.

Note the 'nr of delays' slider in the screenshot above. If you select 24 delays, for example, with the first delay set at 50 milleseconds and the range set at 3000 milleseconds, the 24 delays will be distributed between 50 milleseconds and 3 seconds. Within that range, you can control the amplitude curve to start loud and get softer, or to start soft and get louder, or to remain equal. You can set the timing to start fast and get slower, or to start slow and get faster, or to remain equal. You can introduce and fine tune random changes. You can add feedback ...
