I Love the pictures of the workflow,, it looks like such good ideas. However I couldn't even get the demo to come up on my PC and if you go to their forum there is allot of really pissed off people there.
Anyone make it all the way through a project?

I got bored with Acid's handling of VSTI, its lack of midi features, and the fact that you can't move the clips from one track to another...
I used that app from years, but sold it, to keep the small "Acid Music Studio", adn go on with other DAW.
Yes, i got interested in v6, but the upgrade was really too expensive, i think that 600$ for a DAW that rely on something which was a killer feature 6 years ago (autotimestretch), but did not improved itself as quickly as the others (FL, Live, etc.), is too much a follower, and the price is too high, when you can have Fruity loops + an excellent beatslicer with tempo sync & slice features for less than the third of Acid Pro price.

Yeah, FL6 and Live are sweet indeed.. If I could ever get used to using a play list FL6 would be my main DAW.. It seems like a un-needed step when you could just do it all at once on one screen..Like the arrange view of Live.
I'm hijacking my own thread because nobody has completed a project in Acid Pro 6.

I waited such a long time for the latest release of Acid, since the previous versions where to buggy and unusable for me. I went and gave Ableton Live 5 a try and never looked back.

.. and Live has no f_cking boring Media Manager, takes less time to open, handles waaaaaaaay better vst/vsti, etc.
The only thing that lacks live is a paint tool and a erase tool in horizontal mode, as a good slicer feature, but it is a killer...

oddly (and im not an acid user either really) i found the opposite ... knocking ideas around was great in live but i never got anything finished with it (not that i finish much anyway) ... i find tracktion and / or eXT much easier to use when tying up all the loose ends ... but neither is as quick or easy as live to get started in ...riley4reason wrote:Yeah, If I asked the same question of Live 5....this thread would be pages deep with finished projects.dabb wrote:I waited such a long time for the latest release of Acid, since the previous versions where to buggy and unusable for me. I find it easy to wrap things up in the arrange view, render it, pop it into SoundForge 8..add little Ozone3 and I'm done!pHz wrote:oddly (and im not an acid user either really) i found the opposite ... knocking ideas around was great in live but i never got anything finished with it (not that i finish much anyway) ... i find tracktion and / or eXT much easier to use when tying up all the loose ends ... but neither is as quick or easy as live to get started in ...riley4reason wrote:Yeah, If I asked the same question of Live 5....this thread would be pages deep with finished projects.dabb wrote:I waited such a long time for the latest release of Acid, since the previous versions where to buggy and unusable for me.
