Although I've used Cubase in the past, much of my knowledge has slipped away.

How do I automate the Master channel, or the mixer as a whole for that sake? Can I for instance Mute and Solo tracks through automation?

I remember editing an Input/Output track, but have forgotten how to add it to the sequencer!

Thanks.

You have "R" and "W" buttons on each channel. They are used for "W" writting automation and "R" is for reading that same automation. Press "W" and hit play. Do whatever with channel, then hit stop and go at the start of your song. Pres "R" and press play again. You will see your automation.

Start from here and go look in your operation manual. Hope this will help you.

Thanks. I know the part where you automate on the go using read and write, but what I wanted to know was how I can do this in the sequencer by drawing the automation manually. I do this for all the other tracks, but have forgotten how to do it on the Master. If you could just remind me how to add the "Input/Output Channels" track to the sequencer, I would be greatful

It should be the simplest thing, and I bet it is, but I actually haven't found it in the manual!

Figured it out. Sorry for asking the stupidest question on this whole forum.
