ASIO SUPPORT!!!

I just downloaded some new toys in the instruments section. Guess i'll spin em in TF.

Cheers! Let me know how it's working. It's been tested on several ASIO/soundcards, but you never know what else is out there.. It's a jungle you know

I tried the latest version out on my desktop using ASIO4ALL and a standard Soundmax card. Seems to work fine so far.

The issues i have come across so far are:

1. After recording a MIDI part, the MIDI notes do not display in the MIDI editor.

2. i run into the following error message after loading DaHornet synth, activating the Record MIDI button and pressing play:

Access violation at address 04582460 in module daHornet.dll. Read of address 00000000

I'll test more later.

Thanks for the report, I didn't have daHornet but just downloaded it and I seem to be able to reproduce it with that plugin. I'll look into it tomorrow (have to get some sleep now

) Any other plugins that misbehave?

All other plugins I've tried it with work without problems - but then again.. I don't have all plugins out there

I'll try more later as well...i'm taking a break. But so far that's the only plug i bumped into with errors.

I have fixed both issues. daHornet seems to do something weird with its chunks. I've made a workaround for it (one more hardcoded exception.. gotta love the VST "standard"

).

The update is available on my site. You can simply overwrite the old one without problems.

I have fixed both issues.

Confirmed.

I tested a few more plugs including Energy XT. So far so good. I have a lot of plugs so i will keep testing more including of course, fx.

Possible BR:

1) When loading a VSTi, the channel is automatically named accordingly. However, when changing the VST to another one within the same channel, the name of the channel does not change, the name of the original VSTi loaded remains.
Not sure if it's a bug or if we have to manually rename a channel when loading a new VSTi.

did you make some free sample sequencer, like 5 years ago....
very simple, but fun?

I remember using something a long time ago... just a step sequencer with samples it came with..

That could have been me indeed.

I did HammerHead back in '97 (ages ago)
Then Moonfish (which was more or less the not-so-serious result of some kind of challenge),
later Tuareg and Tu2 and now Tunafish.

I think you're referring to Moonfish. It was an attempt at making the most limited but still usable "tracker" in the universe. That was quite fun actually!

Yeah.. it's amazing. From download.com alone there are still around 70-80 downloads per day. And then there's threechords.com, etc. Incredible for software that hasn't been updated for almost 10 years

Bram, VSTi's work fine for me with asio driver, but there's a lot of buzz using the drum parts, the samples do not play as they should, many glitches, cracles and distortion.

Isn't that a matter of increasing the ASIO buffer size a bit?
