The old (freeware) Aodix by Arguru had a dual filter system, which could produce very tasty sounds with the Positive impulse delay filter combined with pitch modulation. I can always sample the sounds, but would it be possible to emulate them in a VST environment? So I could manipulate them as I please instead of using static samples.
Here are the settings used:

Posted to another forum, too, and someone estimated I could get the same type of sound by simple saw synthesis and distortion, playing with filters at a low note. Checked it out quickly, seemed to have potential. I don't have a methodical approach to synthesis, I'm kind of an eternal newbie hobbyist
. But this will surely help me become more systematic and knowing. Still, any more tips are welcome.
