Impressive leap of logic there. You read on a forum that someone has heard that someone is complaining about the controller falling apart, and conclude that Kore must feel like a bunsh (sic) of plastic crap.

Got a few problems too like things that don't work yet (record for example) but I'll probably persevere as the K3 update is on its way so I didn't really pay that much for it. It does a good job of creating multi-instruments/effects and the built in presets are very good too. Not having a huge CPU hit apart from with a couple of third party plugins - hopefuly an update will fix things.

Ok, you've got a point theire. But if there are user claiming that theire controller is falling apart, that can't be a good thing (when you do not abuse the controller, the thing should not fall apart).

My controller runs fine, nothing crashes, and my CPU's where it should be at for what instruments I'm using in it. I'm running an AMD machine as well, so I have no idea what your problem really is..And as far as knocking the beta testers, well..beta testers can say anything they want, but that doesn't neccessarily mean the're going to be listened to, does it? And even if so, what would beta testers have to do with hardware issues in the first place?

I suggest making sure you're not already using the current version..

I'm not knocking the beta testers, I was making a joke about how customers who paid $499.00 for a working product got a buggy beta that they are calling v1.0.1

My system pulsates between 5-12% with Kore turned off and just setting there with nothing, absolutely nothing open. When I unplug the Kore Controller, it goes back to 0-2%.

I hope I didn't offend you Sickle, I think you are a very helpful person and I have nothing but respect for you.

I'm sure this issue is gonna be adressed with the next driver update. I'm seeing quite some more "idling" CPU useage on my laptop, but as said, I'm sure NI is aware of the issue.

Of course, you could now argue why to release things before they're running any better - but it seems that this is just like it with any major player.

And it must be said, the marketing intellegence is not, and should never be, a reflection against the developers themselves. I consider 'development' and 'marketing' to be two very different entities, especially in large(r) companies, and if anything, one seems to exist to foil the steps of the other. NI suffers from this conflict as any other company. As frustrating as it is, this is borne in my case easily as the benefits outweigh negative consequence. With Kore, specifically, there has been, and will(to an extent) probably be a few more glitches as this is not just new software, but also hardware intergration coupled with a paradigm shift in how the company as a whole handles software registration and updates(ala the new Service Center)..

One must anticipate growing pains to some extent for this kind of leap forward. That they must be endured is aggrivating, but I am confident they'll be overcome soon enough.

Only thing about the beta testing I'll say is that it's been vigorous and NI has been provided a multitude of feedback relative to Kore..

On a sorta-related noted, we're implementing an ERP system at work. It's definitely proving - both from the vendor code/support and from our implementation - that the old adage:

Working software? On time? Within budget? Choose up to two.

has a lot of merit to it. Sadly, our deployment seems to be choosing "On time" as first priority and "Within budget" as second. That might explain why one set of accounts is $mumble out of balance.

Totally! They should come 'round here for some fierce beta testers; that'd solve their problems. It's almost like they test internally on a couple machines, that's it.

I haven't had hardly any of the issues that some others seem to have. I've never had a VST it didn't recognize. I've NEVER crashed my system loading sounds. With my old nF4 mobo (which died an ugly death last weekend), I saw maybe 3% CPU from KORE and its driver. With my new board (a nF3), I'm seeing between 5-10% load from the USB driver, which is an issue they're working on. On the other hand, I've had KORE running with a close to 90& load by KORE's CPU meter (95% by Task Manager) with no pops, clicks or what have you at 6ms audio latency (3 ms USB latency).

I guess I'm speaking of my experience with Kontakt. Started off great, and new bugs were introduced along with every flashy new update. 4 years later and I'm still waiting for basic bugs to be fixed and functions to be restored. But I guess a sexy new interface is more important.

If you guys knew the work that is going on at the moment to get Kontakt 2 running perfect, you would say anything about beta testers on NI. Every day about 30-40 emails back and fourth between us all sorting out all the bugs we can find.

And from what I've seen, all the bugs we submit get a responce and usually a fix very quickly.
