Congratulations Andrea,
it seems to be a good guitar lib, priced friendly, and your playing it is quite impressive.
The jazz demo alone convinced me : I ordered it,
and I'm really looking forward to receiving it....
Now, I'd be really pleased that you develop scripts for it (realistic strumming, legato play, vivrato...), rather than just midifiles.
My 2 cents.

I know I'm making a bit fuss, I guess something about my perfect pitch makes it sound "wrong" to hear a D# play as the release noise of an E. But I understand that that really was the sound that the guitar made when you were sampling. Thanks for explaining, though.pettinhouse wrote:Hi,
But this is not what I wanted explain to Gregjazz.
I create a patch in my direct guitar for trash metal style. There is a sample in each key of the keyboard in "note off" (A sample when you release the key). This sample is a noise that together with the others in "note on" create exactly the feeling to play one of the trash metal style (watch the video). Sometime happen when you release the string that this noise produce also let say a kind of note. In my direct guitar this note produced from the noise it's a little bit different than the note that produce the Key E in "note on". So, seems that I made a mistake when I mapped the patch but it's not true because I mapped exactly this noise that I got during the recording of the guitar and that for a natual case this noise produce a kind of note that seems that it's a D# than a E.

Will you be adding other sample formats? I currently own Kompakt, which does not support Kontakt 2 or Gigastudio 3 files as far as I know.
Buy my cd here (Prog rock/synth pop/classical/soundtrack-ish music):

Hi Cyanogen,
I'm sorry but I don't support kompakt. For now the only formats that I support are Kontakt 2 and GS3. Do the kompakt has the DFD functions for samples streaming?
I prefer to create the sound from the software insted to convert it with those convertitors and this operation takes to me much time. Even if the convertitors do a right job sometime the result it's not the same, so I think that are enough kontakt and GS3 format
especially GS3 that took me about 5 hours for discover how to obtain the function NOTE OFF than kontakt that took me one second for discover it!!!
Thank you
Andrea

If someone has any success (or failure) stories trying to convert this library to either gig2 or sf2 formats I'd be interested. This library looks exactly like what I'm looking for, but I'm able to play only Soundfont and Giga2 files
@Andrea - is there any documentation available regarding the presets or programming so I can figure out how hard converting is going to be?

Hi,
Soundfonts? I'm thinking about to do it. Normally I don't support soundfonts. Anyway Just give me time and I will try to map DirectGuitar in soundfont format.
Thank you
