But just to get this straight:

You can do all sorts of time-signatures/time-signature changes with any host.

If the sequencer 'supports' it it mainly helps to visualize in a better way what you are doing. :)
I agree with this, but visualization is very important!!!! :?

Would be nice if the markers on the playlist could also change the signature too. (i.e., a bit like Tracktion, which I always thought was a nice implementation, you could drag the markers (and the signature) around... eXT has similar functionality.)

Well, if I were doing a piece that mixed different time sigs...in FL...I'd create each bit separately, render it, and stitch them together in Sound Forge.

But I am terribly lazy.

All of you shut up and listen : just do one loop of whatever meter u want in the pianoroll

Call me silly but I was always impressed with Phillip Glass's time signature madness, often having 2-3 different time signatures being played at the same time

i agree, polyryhtyms and stuff are cool -- i like them changing and morphing -- but you still are silly.

What do you mean about sonar? I find changing time sigs in sonar to be downright painless.

Sonar's time signatures are still kind of buggy. The marker always wants to snap to 4/4 (not a big deal,) and I have to reset the time signature whenever I copy and paste something. Using multiple time signatures is hit and miss too, because sometimes the time signature will revert to 4/4 (although this could be user error... I haven't figured it out yet.) Sonar does handle them nicely in general, though, it's just a little buggy.

I'm also using Sonar LE and Cakewalk Home Studio 2, so those issues may've been fixed in future versions of Sonar. I don't know, but that's my experience.
