looks beautiful :D :D :D

thanks! debeerguy() but you aren't getting my budlight ;)

i would be working on it some more right now except I'm so freaking fried from working on our yard. We had a bunch of cedar chips/mulch covering about 40x20ft of area on front of our house that we switched over to red lava rock. It sounds like a trivial job, but boy it isn't. We had to get all that old mulch up and put it into 10 freaking extra large compost bags, and then we had to actually spread the rock (2 cubic yards -- about 6 feet tall pile about 6 feet wide and 6 feet long -- yeeesh). If it weren't for my fiances parents helping i'd be dead. anyway it's done now and it looks good so happy happy. But right now my body is so tired I couldn't even think about moving my mouse hand for graphic work :) As it stands KVR daily round is hurting like a bitch. :)

We now return you to your normally scheduled free amp.

Great work on that skin, grymmjack! Love the embroidered effect on the logo - you could make it even more apparent to prevent people from asking whether that aliasing is intended ;)

Any chance that you could make the knob/switch font a bit bigger? That little 5px one is nearly impossible to read on a 17" 1920 x 1200 laptop screen (or any other screen from a distance). Maybe you could use some condensed font that would have higher letters, but still fit within the width of current captions?

For the same reason, knob positions could be shown with a wider, more apparent "crack". It wouldn't hurt to make the knobs themselves a bit smaller to make room for slightly bigger captions.

Anyhow, keep up the good work! Can't wait to see FreeAmp in the new clothes :)

:hihi: New clothes that is a great way to bring on the new version :hihi: Have to save that one for a quote.

Flanger is done :D Working on the synth part now! Full strums are tracked very well, and the gate can also be set for faster picked leads.
Works well for the "Slowgear" FX asked for and will also function like the EH Microsynth, with two filters that can be ran single, parallel or serial plus some pretty nice modulation is going to be added, OK back to work.

And thanks again Grymmjack its looking great :)

Matt, going to work on it more tommorow. I'm guessing once I get some major time to devote to it, it should go quickly. Joe and I already have a workflow down for export from my design environs, so that part is a no brainer :)

Yay! *grabs cat and swings it overhead by tail* I am one happy trooper :D

I can feel you on the font size, but unfortunately I am extremely limited with space. I will compromise with you though and if after all the controls are drawn, animated, and so forth and there is enough room to increase the font size I will. I don't want it to be unusable for anyone of course and I empathize with you on this point.

Also the pots will have a 'groovier' groove as well for the reason you mentioned. Also just an FYI for future; I am desinging on a 1280x1024 19" flat panel (dell 1900FP) and I have horrible eyesight and wear glasses to compensate. That said, what I have designed is legible to my eyes at a 3 foot distance or so. I know that this plug may be used in situations where it will be farther away, but I can only do so much you know?

As it is now it's smaller than I would like it to be (but this was a very touchy subject and to reach this phase we had to all compromise and this is what we decided).

I will not make the pots smaller because from a usability perspective, the click-targets must be a decent size to make rapid changes without fiddliness. The current pot is big enough so that the entire head of a standard windows mouse pointer will fit just inside it's bounds. This means that it is easy to adjust. I wont budge on that, and these sizes were shown in the drafts that I had posted and the window for complaints/suggestions on sizes has been closed. Sorry to be that way but I am doing it for the good of all really. I give you credit enough to know after using the plugin for a while the pot labels will become a moot point since you will instinctively know from memory which control is placed where, etc. Since the pedals are fixed in location, you wont ever have to worry about which pedal you would be clicking on at the left, right, bottom, tom, etc.

Hope that explanation helps, and thanks for the feedback.

Ok here is an update, got some significant progress complete in a couple of hours.

The | | | | button next to the input is a toggle for meter power. The other stuff is self explanatory -- MIDI learn is in downstate.

Fixed the pre-comp|post-comp pedal symmetry/alignment of pots. Completed 3 separate frames for the 3 way vertical flip switch animation, and the 2 way horizontal flip switch animation. Widened the pot ticks and added more contrast to the ticks.

The speaker graphics will change to show the various combinations avail; 2x12, 4x10, 4x12, and in various colors (gray, blue, green, etc) as determined by the cab pulldown.

The icon used for the AMP pulldown chooser is the signal flow icon for amplitude operator. (thanks to the guys on IRC for help there) :)

Ok, gonna keep workin. I like how it looks so far. It looks pretty mean with the red I think!

Oh yea added a 1/4" patch for input and output.. May or may not stay though depending on room and how well I can draw a convincing S 1/4" connector as those used on pedal boards for close proximity/cable-less connections. We'll see :)

Yeah! Lookin' super-cool, G. I like all the new stuff.

That's lookin' great, man!
