sub bass and compressor

Its really hard to compress sub basses! I use Waves c1!!!
Some suggestion would be nice

Try to give it dynamics via the sub bass synth's envelope as opposed to afterwards with a compressoe. OR, if you have the subs going through an overdrive or hard limiter that smash down dynamics, you're not goiong to have any thing for the compressor to act upon, so to speak, so you have to have a little bit of silence after each note for the compressor to get a hold of, if that makes sense.

Or you could setup one long note through the compressor and resample

isn't it just essentially recording what you have with all the effects and then use it as a sample? So you have a processed sound without the hassle/cpu drain/messiness of lots of effects...

one thing to consider with comrpessing sub bass is to use an attack longer than the period of the frequency of the wave you are trying to compress, too short and the comp is trying to reduce the gain on the actual wave cycle itself.

Ok ok, nice! I have been using your way of compression Hunter and it worked best of all things i have done until now.Did not know that resample means to do THAT.hehe, have done it lot of times, best way to save cpu!!!
