You have no idea what are my ambitions. You dont have idea about the sounds I get with GR2. My nick is that way because is funy mix two guitar players's name. I play very different musical styles. The Friedmann tone is an example, something to show you as a reference. I have 200 presets or more, jazz, blues, rock, metal. All great. The presets that come with GR2 are awfull. You have to work in yours. And yes, it's fun get the original song Symphony of Destruction, record in some guitar fills, get a friend to listen and he thinking it's a new version of the song.
I have yet to hear a single f**king solo with amplitube 2. A rock solo. No body post anything, only a few seconds of rithym guitar.

I have a really crappy Arbor guitar which I bought for $100, 19 years ago. After all this time, I still can't play worth a damn, and to my ears, most distortion effects sound more or less the same. Which plugin would you recommend for me? 
Oh, and my coworker, sitting across the room from me right now, happens to be a very close, long time friend of Marty Friedman. Honest truth. Doesn't seem to help me play any better though...

try an xt live and your 2.0 will collect dust like mine does now...the new marshall 2000 tone that came with the 3.0 upgrade imho is quite sweet....it's also the first sim (besides the sansamp if you call that a sim) that reacts naturally and the way I'm use to when I engage my onboard pre-amp (which is set low and rarely used)...markdeaton wrote:are you saying you don't use a pod?

ASIO... latency... sound cards... this and that... I just get sick of working with it. I'm 35 so I didn't cut my teeth on software.
I like Simulanalog's JCM900 emulator though. Simple and easy to work with...
