Well I've tried converting it with ESC3 but the decays become shorter somehow, and it sounds a bit shit. I'll keep trying though.

Ouch, any sample bank gurus out there know how to work the soundfont format?

Thanks for trying Rozzer, hope you get it worked out! Nice samples :)

I have taken the Halion version and made a tracktion sampler archive of the .wav files. PM me if you want a copy. Or Rozzer, if you want to post it, have at it.

Well, I just did an sfz version, which works in the free soundfont player sfz.

Get it here:

Or actually, if you already have the halion version, just drop the sfz text file in the folder with the waves and you are good to go

get the text file here:

cool idea, rozzer.

Thanks for sharing!

Good stuff Herodotus ...
Would still love a soundfont for us mac users (sfz = pc only) if anyone has a chance!

I done a quick SF for rozzer to check out first before he ads it to his site - it's a simple conversion from the giga font - but I am not going to post it, I have pm'd the link to rozzer only - that's Rozzers call if to use it or not depending if its converted ok :)

Best regards,

Well, I've been inundated with offers of soundfonts :)

Rozzer,

Do you want to host my Tracktion Sampler archive of the Kalimba? Tracktion comes with a freebie sampler built in and I took the Halion .wav files and loaded them in. Or do you mind if I host and post it over at the Tracktion forum on KVR?

I've just noticed some problems with herodotus's sfz file. The release hasn't converted properly and the some of the sample mappings are missing. Its probably best to download one of the other formats until we can get that sorted (sfz player load soundfonts anyway).
