the standalone crashes with the following msg:

crash-o-la... any config-type files i could delete to cause some kind of reset? (?)

how sluggish is sluggish ? Changing presets should be slightly slower than in previous versions, but the benefit now is that it won't cause cpu spikes any more.

woa. Say, you're really sure you have the very latest rhino2.dll in your vstplugins folder ?

well i've run each of 2.04 updates in turn without errors but the dll currently shows last modified as 290506 which seems a bit old so i'm going to try reinstalling...
