Samplitude midi control

Trying to evaluate the Sam demo but cannot seem to get my Novation Remote working at all with this thing,
I'm assuming a midi input signal shows up on the transport panel, nothing..

Any step-by-step guide to setting it up ?, i did RTFM, again, its just not happening.

I seem to recall an update to Samp recently that's announcement said something about
fixing some midi comtroller issues.

All i really want to do is play some synths but the whole app is so complex its off putting really.. never mind, there are other hosts i guess

I work with samplitude and would like to help but don't understand what is the problem.
If you would like to set up your midi keyboard or interface try shortcut "y".
There you can configure everything.

I've setup the midi ports but since its not working i assumed there was some other settings i am missing.

Hi,make sure that software-monitoring(rightclick M on the transport panel) is on and monitoring is active in that track you wanna play the VstI.(little monitor symbol).
Don't forget that the demo is quite an old version and midi and vsti has been improoved alot since then.

Actually the problem was quite simple , i have 2x soundblasters, the port names are mixed up, its the same in other hosts but i only just noticed, the ports i wanted to use weren't enabled in other words
