Hello, i'm new here so if this topic is under ther wrong category, sorry. Anyways, i am trying to import a midi file into Fl 6 and it goes in just fine, but when i hit play i get no sound, i have applied diiferent instrument and even pasted it into different files, but nothing works. Any ideas, if so thanks.

Check that the midi stream to the instrument is transmitting on the same channel that the instrument is receiving on. For example, if a midi drum clip is sending notes on channel 10 - standard for drums - and your instrument is set to receive on midi channel 1, you will hear nothing.
Also check that the instrument has sounds assigned to the notes being sent by the midi clip.
Of course, also check that your instrument is connected to your master out. (Can you hear anything if you trigger the instrument from an external source?)

Um ok i did it once but i wasn't really quite sure how i did it so how would one go about making sure the channels are the same?
