greeeat job, grymmjack! I expected something funkier, but I love that it recalls the older order of elements. (head & cab on top, pedals on bottom).

the whole grey feeling and the red dropdowns are cool. winning colors, imo.

plus, a cc map "on place" would be really handy!
Thanks :)

In place CC Map could be done... Overlay of the numbers on top of controls in their 12 o'clock and default positions.. That would be awesome way to implement it.

The only downside to that is another thing for Joe to build into the plugin :) This thing has got to be scary to look at inside. The rabbit hole must go very deep... ;)

What do you guys think? Click on MIDI label to show CCMap overlay which shows CC#'s exactly on the controls they map to? And click on FreeAMP logo to launch the docs (or build a new button)?

I'm open for either, and if we can't do the overlay (that would be just like about splash page Joe -- same concept only different click area to toggle ((:.:) MIDI)) I can just put a nice brief map in the splash for when clicking on the FrettedSynth logo.

Let me know how you guys want to do it.

It still needs more work on modulation and a envelope for the resonance, but I think it has potential to be cool?

BTW the patch setup is a bit heavy on the resonance :-)
SynthDemo.mp3  :D
That's wicked sounding.

Hi great work, looks very cool.

Is there going to be a mini 'how-to' guide accessable from the GUI?

How is it working out? I had a heck of a time to use a mic with my synth's till I discovered that listening to the synth sound instead of the dry voice can sure play with your head :hihi:
Once I started listening to more of the dry voice and did some tests with a tuner, I found it tracked quite well?

It tracks better than everything else I've tried.
Course, I pre-process it in various ways depending upon the environment I'm in.
If you've got a freakin loud rock-god drummer and a 4-channel marshal guitar amp from
'63 in the same room results may vary.

Bandpass and gates are your friend, then.
The beauteous thing is that warbling to a new note doesn't retrigger, it just bends
!!!
We were talking here about begging you to make a plug that'd send audio-to-midi
as pitchbend data to a vst synth yesterday and I'm trying to read up on the subject
to see how feasible it is.

I'll send you samples of what I do sometime.

Tried that once already! although I did not put too much time into it
Another down side I found trying to do MIDI in SE from audio the latency was increased by about 22ms :( Which was a major bummer to me! I tried real hard to get the latency of my plugins down as much as possable, the best I could do was 2-12ms which still has a feel to it to me

Thanks for letting me know :)

With pb data being sent instead of retriggered new notes, only the initial
trigger of the note from voice would be noticeably delayed, and the "melismatic glides"
would proceed nicely. Come to think of it that'd be pretty good for guitar bends, too.

I will think on it.

Not saying its not possable "to be honest I'm suprised no-one has done a good audio to MIDI processor IMHO" come-on with all the technology out there it has to be possable?? My brother who is a electronics engineer for Ford working on there audio and video stuff keeps telling me it is possable? but yet I still don't feel there is anything out there that can do it???
The lack of it is what started me working on these synths in the first place

I wish someone would then I could play instead of trying to make my own, but until then I will keep on trying :)
Let me know how it goes I am very interested in anything different then what big companies have been dishing out?
In some ways I don't think they want it to happen? Would hurt sales of keyboards and I don't think they are ready for that to happen :?:
