Hi all,

I am happy to announce that Sonitex STX-1260 is now available for purchase.

SONITEX offers a complete suite of processing dedicated to adding texture to digital audio. This allows you to bring the "gritty vibe" from vinyl records and vintage hardware samplers into your modern DAW environment.

Sonitex will include stages to mimic the mixing stage, overall distortion, vinyl pressing & playback, vinyl noise, frequency fidelity and finally the resolution & characteristics in the digital sampling.

It is available for VST PC, and costs $49.

A trial version will be made available soon.

Best regards,
Rune

I might do a MP3 demo at some point, but right now my focus is on getting the trial version ready. That is always the best way for users to evaluate a plug-in, especially a highly tweakable effect like this one.

Sonitex offers six proccesing stages. So far only the "Tone"-stage screenshot has been published, so perhaps handful screenshots of the other stages could be useful. Here's all the screenshots:

The Mix Stage
The Distortion Stage
The Vinyl Stage
The Tone Stage
The Noise Stage
The Sampling Stage

Compadre and Sonitex does compliment each other quite well, so that is not a bad idea at all. I'll look into creating a bundle deal.

Feature request:

Could it be possible to enchance the usability a bit (a realtime vinyl audio support) and add a RIAA compensation EQ -tab [RIAA], having settings/selection for Standard, Enchanced and freely "editable/saveable EQ presets" (< '55), on some future releases?

Why? Lots of people are using a flat phono preamplifier today to connect their turnables into PC system. It would be nice to have a plugin w/ presets for different type recordings (as the linked list shows, there are all kind of EQ's used w/ older recordings). As for an example, I'm using TobyBear MiniHost + Slim Slow Slider's Linear Phase Graphic EQ 2 ATM (this EQ gives quite accurate RIAA's (you can adjust the curve w/ 61 bands)).

I'm just one of the lazy beta testers, but... that's not exactly within the scope or idea of this plugin?

Rune Congratulations on the release, and apologies about the presets. But I'm certain it sounds better that way ;)
Now available with added Inherently Suspect Justification!
