since they track so well. My main motive is that there's a lot of non-synth-sounds I'd like to use live, also.
FreeAmpSE update 1.5 what do you want?

Well, truth be told I can live with playing just Fretted Synths for the time being
since they track so well. My main motive is that there's a lot of non-synth-sounds I'd like to use live, also.

Are you looking for a sample player? its been on my list for a long time to do an audio triggered sample based synth, just havent got around to it Yet!runagate wrote:Well, truth be told I can live with playing just Fretted Synths for the time being

When FreeAmpSE is finished and the old synths are updated to include velocity to the filter I will have to move that up on the list

Yes, I like your synths very much and am working a track right now with them. But I also would be super happy if you'd do a midi thingie. Of course a sampler thingie sounds great too.

What about a FS VSTi audio triggered synth but no synth guts, instead a single VSTi slot so it hosts and audio trigger controls a single VSTi?

That would really be no different then doing a seperate plugin for audio to MIDI! the only differance would be that it would host the VSTi instead of your hostNewbie Brad wrote:What about a FS VSTi audio triggered synth but no synth guts, instead a single VSTi slot so it hosts and audio trigger controls a single VSTi?
But with all the interest in a audio to MIDI plug I will add it to my list. Can't say when or if it will happen but once its on the list it has a much better chance of becoming reality

Lol, don't let us get under your skin.
I think your contributions to the world of audio-to-midi already should earn you

if the limitation really is midi....and u would never get the great tracking you get in ur fretted synths,....then I'd rather see the audio driven sample synth myself....Id gladly pay 4 that if it tracked audio as well as ur synths....and i'm pretty sure midi is the problem.....caused i tried like 20 audio to midi converters like a year ago and none of them worked well enough to me to be playable....not even non realtime....there are a couple kvr threads as me and others tried them all....you know the whole "singing your vsti synths...the holy grail" thing...lol....congrats on what u have accomplished thus far....really inspiring

Like I have said in posts long ago! I would like to do this stuff full time? but as it is now I'm married for 19 years have two daughters that take most of my free time and to boot I run a small business for a living during the day. Which leaves just enough time to build this stuff
In the future I still would not mind doing this full time at which point I would have to charge for what I do.
But for now I don't have time to run two small businesses so I keep this as a way to relax. There are many reasons I give it away free? the biggest reason is Thanks to all those who have given so much to me and the world as Freeware, also I grew up as a pretty poor musician only dreaming of what the "BigBoys" had to make music
So keep the idea's coming none will get under my skin! can't promiss that any of them will come to be ?? But its a lot of fun for me to see others enjoy the stuff.

Glad you like it
Is the logo ok? I wasn't sure, but I figured the keyboard keys on a guitar body with a funky guitarish (we wont mention any names) script logo would be good?

Dude you are really good at graphics, with the chessey SE UI I sent you of the synth! you come up with that, How can I complain?
The whole thing is going to be so much more easy to setup, and YEP! I'm a geek, the UI still sits as my desktop for my net machine
