"DR-660 Kits" for NUSofting DK+ released.
DK+ Library extension with the default kit for the internal DK+ 21 Styles,
plus 28 '.dk+' kits based on the DR-660 factory settings.
The DR-660 sample collection for DK+ features all 255 hits
from the Boss DR-660, a selection of which are grouped into
28 '.dk+' kits based on the DR-660 factory settings. In
total, you will find 51 bassdrum samples, 76 snares, 18
cymbals and hi-hats, 71 percussive and ambient hits, and 40
toms.

The DR-660 is like a small encyclopedia of drum machine
sounds from the late 70's to the mid-nineties in a compact
unit. It features the usual 78, 808 and 909 and Linn type
sounds along with other electronic kicks and snares, a
number of great and surprisingly realistic 'acoustic'
sounds, congas and bongos, and of course those 80's gated
snares we all love/hate. While the DR-660 is also heavy on
the cheese with its extensive percussion selection, 'Big
Gym' sounds and classic 'synbass' and 'slapbass' patches,
don't be fooled into thinking that this is all there is to
be found here. The kicks can be deep and aggressive, the
snares solid or trashy, and the electronic bleeps are
suitable for all types of electronic music production. The
whole collection could also serve as a broad palette of
timbres for further processing and manipulating in your VST
effects chain.
As well as sitting in the bedrooms and studios of an army
of anonymous house and techno producers, as well as, I'm
sure, accompanying many a rent-a-musician through the 90's,
the Boss DR-660 (and its predecessor the DR-550) has been
used by such revered, groundbreaking artists as Orbital,
Godflesh and Squarepusher.

Yep, very cool. I'll be getting this, in a while.
I wonder, he said, if my Roland DR-707 -- which I recently discovered in the bottom of a box
-- is something I should be using/sampling/selling?
