I like GR2 far more than amplitube 1, since i don't have syncrosoft key, no reason to buy one, I don't know much about A2. However I had a chance to use Waves GTR and I am staying with GR2, the GTR combo emulaions are fine (maybe more realistic than GR2 but i find GR2 far more inspiring- good not only as emulations but good for making entirely new sounds) but those stomp boxes sucks, it is not one aplication they are basicaly two plugins to be used in host and this sucks too not mentioning the price. So for all purists of the sound give it a break and make music by any means you can.

So I have no issue with him at all except I hope he will treat people with a little more respect when he talks to them, if he doesn't I will adapt...I am talking about those who attack and judge other people's music and put's themselves above people, KillVehicle has not done that from what I have seen...you have no right what so ever to put words in my mouth or say how I feel about someone. Hink, I really do not understand your intentions. First, I am not spending my time reading all your postings on KVR. Killvehicle crossed my mind because I have unintentionally seen you two argue in at least 2 threads, and you have wrote some stuff similar to stuff in this thread. So I thought this is one of those things you are pointing at. I am not criticizing you, or Killvehicle, and as your post here was kind of rant, I came with positive intentions, at least giving advice of living and let go when person goes thru something that is not pleasent experience is in my world considered as good intention... But you somehow have arguing tone, and your every answer is toned like I am criticizing you, and like you have to defend something from me... So I really do not understand what you want to say. I have no issues with you and I have no bad words for you or Killvehicle or anyone else here.
If you wanted to point at something with "My points about disrespectful comments came from different members entirely..." maybe you should have been more direct. Also "Armchair analysis" end of your post is really hostile for no reason.
It is like I am sitting in bar and someone next to me starts to rant about not liking something, and keeps about it, but after my comment that I hope he will be ok, and that he does not need to waste his time energy and nerves on some things so he can feel better, in turn this guy comes with "fcuk off" attitude, and attacks me about putting my nose in his private life etc.
If I keep repeating that I have no bad intentions and you act like I am against you, well...What can I say...
Still I cant see why you thinked my behavoir is not nice. I cant understand why you dont see a good thing that someone is glad with his guitar tone and wants to share it with others. His opinion can be wrong but that is not excuse to bash him. But well, you said your reasons to do that. Cooky for tryng to emulate Van Halen sound?? You are wrong; I admire the damn Van Halen! It's a tone and guitar playing well known and for this reason I posted a try (good try) of gettin his tone. Are you visited my songclick page? Do you think the tones in the Quenn cover, the Van Halen 2, the Gary Moore tracks are bad? I think they are good, very good. I'm always talking about tone, not my playing. And maybe others can enjoy this plugin like I do.
Maybe you live in a very competitive and paranoid world, where everybody wants be number one?!

And thanks for the tablature, I almost have figured out the solo but the end of the first part, the arpeggio where Marty accelerate the playing (Marty's old technic to create a great sense of speed) it's the most hard to me to figure out.
Difference in cultures, internet communications... I just think that anyone should be sure to have any background when talking about something. I was criticizing your behaviour, not you personally, partly because I am recognizing this attitude often. I will visit your soundclick page later and mail you comments in a good will. It is just like I am not stating that some plugin EQ "Is same like a Pultec EQ" if I don't have enough experience mixing records with great hardware EQ's. And I am respecting the fact that a lot of people that do know their job think that their Hardware EQs sound better than software emulations, and in similar way I respect that someone does not have money to buy rack full of EQs or just needs good enough software soulution. It is just about respect and knowledge, it was kind of rude and like bashing all guitarists that have invested their time money and energy into developing their sound thru all these years when you have said it is all the same. Marty Freidman is very anal about his sound, and I remember that he commented once that Mustaine put big pressure on him because Dave is even more anal about sound.
Anyway I hope there is no hard feelings and that you will nail that Megadeth solo eventually!

It is great page...awards...positive reviews...Great. But it is interesting that there is no great guitar players commenting on GR2, because they have just recorded their album with GR2 exclusively and want to rave about its phenomenal sound.
Amplitube 1 also got rave reviews at its time, but I am not sure that right now people think it is so great, at least comparable to newer amp sims.

I mean, GR2 is great for what it is, and it is very usefull tool. But I find it interesting that NI promotion is similar like it is home recording tool for hobbyists and computer based daws in small studios. Promotion is more similar to promotion for a softsynth than tool for guitarists, I am not getting that. IK similary used model girl with big boobies instead of at least second league guitar player in their marketing. I only remeber Nomad tried to connect their sim with a real guitar player, but their sim was not succes because of other reasons...

sorry for quoting the whole thing but I'm lazy as hell, twas a long nite (and not in partying way)....chaulk it up to misunderstanding and it's in the past..;) I too have nothing against you, but I also didn't want it to start up something else with KillVehicle...there's enough strife everywhere...no need to add more...;)

sorry for "Armchair analysis"...
