Oh, I thought you submitted it and *poof!* it appears on the News. Just wondering!
OK, I found a couple of graphical issues (nothing major): first, when you open the plugin in Cubase (this happened both at home and at work), the GUI takes a moment to draw itself. I click the "edit" button, and nothing happens for a second, then a grey square, then it quickly fills in the square with the GUI. CamelPhat 3 used to do this until they issued a 3.17 beta fix for certain video cards (NVidia or ATI, I think). Not sure what was doing it...
Second, when you switch skins, the Cubase VST plugin window will not resize to the new GUI until you reopen the plugin. Neither of these are a big deal, just something I noticed.
Otherwise, this plugin is very cool, although I still can't get enough time between bypasses to get a feel for it. If you are willing to shorten the gaps or extend the working period, I think everyone would find it more enlightening.

Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't... I have sent a news submission too. It will hopefully show up one day!Oh, I thought you submitted it and *poof!* it appears on the News. Just wondering!
What is your graphics card and PC configuration?OK, I found a couple of graphical issues (nothing major): first, when you open the plugin in Cubase (this happened both at home and at work), the GUI takes a moment to draw itself. I click the "edit" button, and nothing happens for a second, then a grey square, then it quickly fills in the square with the GUI. Do you know (approximately!) how long it takes to draw the GUI?
There is unfortunately nothing we can do for this one. Cubase does not support the window resizing feature of the VST protocol. Some other hosts do and with them you won't have to re-open the UI. Anyway you are not supposed to change skin every minuteSecond, when you switch skins, the Cubase VST plugin window will not resize to the new GUI until you reopen the plugin.
OK, We'll definetly do something about it.Otherwise, this plugin is very cool, although I still can't get enough time between bypasses to get a feel for it. If you are willing to shorten the gaps or extend the working period, I think everyone would find it more enlightening.
Thanks for your feedback!

OK: My graphics/PC config:
Home: Gigabyte GA-8IG1000MK P4 2.6ghz, 1G RAM (single channel), ATI Raedon 9200
Work: ASUS P4 3.2ghz, 1G RAM (single channel), NVIdia GeForce 6600 GT
It takes approx. 2 seconds for the GUI to finish appearing. Let me see if I can find that Camelphat thread where they identified the problem...
I suspected that skin-chaning thing was a VST shortcoming, not your plugin - just like you can't resize the window. It's standard to re-open the plugin just to see the UI change, so actually, yours is better than most!
Let me know when you change the demo bypass time, I want to test your plugins further, coz they're at a really great price right now!
Thanks for the help!

Well, nice configurations...! Should not be so slow... Is it slow too when you minimize the plug-in window (without closing) and re-maximize it?
Hopefully tomorrow!Let me know when you change the demo bypass time, I want to test your plugins further, coz they're at a really great price right now!

Uhm...you can't mimimize plugin windows in Cubase, I don't think. The redraw is much faster in Wavelab, though; hardly noticeable! I'll try the other hosts I have.bluecatonline wrote:Well, nice configurations...! Should not be so slow... Is it slow too when you minimize the plug-in window (without closing) and re-maximize it?

Well my TLs maximizer use re-size and works in Cubase so....There is unfortunately nothing we can do for this one. Cubase does not support the window resizing feature of the VST protocol.
Edit: Then again Steinbergs solution for the re-size makes
you wonder WHY it works...

I presume you are using a newer version than bduffy then.Well my TLs maximizer use re-size and works in Cubase so....
Anyway the VST protocol is very simple for this "feature", and the resize works in all "resize-enabled" host I know

Here you are! The new demos have been uploaded. After a few tries I have chosen to bypass for only 3 seconds every 20 seconds. This way the bypass time is not too long, and you have enough time to play with the plug-in between two bypasses... It seems reasonable to me. Hopefully to you too

BTW Ben, if you happen to read this thread (who knows?), can you tell me why there have been no news about these products for two days, whereas a bunch of other ones were presented? Did I miss something? Did you receive the press release? Don't be offended though, I presume you are busy and entering new products in the database takes some time!

Are the new demos finally better for testing?
