I dunno, never used Surge. As many as needed to have a full preset bank, with no empty slots left?

CPTgone, Surge doesn't work like that, but I'd rather make patches for something that won't get people complaining like jens is, so I am infact looking for a suggestion. (from jens... or anyone) hell, I could buy Granite for $37 and make patches for it, win another copy, and then sit at my computer and say "wow, that was pointless"

I believe jens lit him up for this:

1) make a preset bank, preferably for affordable plugs OR a sample pack

yes. but... that's why I wanted a suggestion. I don't own any cheap synths (except for filterbank2 if that counts).

here are a couple of banks for Feed, a free new feedback/FM synth from CoFX. It's really an excellent little gem!

see here for more info on the synth. Currently, the synth's native bank only holds 16 patches, so I made 2 banks of 16

Ah cool, I want to create presets for a free synth, too! You are inspiring.
