I think we need to coin the term "Squeaser" to refer to the teaser that Squids so often ends with, just because it always signals there will be more squeezing of my wallet in the near future. :D

Really limiting yourself there, huh? Gosh, now who would use any of those programs? ;) :D

A hint: let's just say that this is something that has been asked for (maybe even in this thread). Aha... hmmmmmm. ;) Change of plan maybe? :o This is good. We're happy about it. Finally a plethora of SR products released after a lot of work...a LOT! Oh and that doesn't mean Studiophonik isn't still consistently being worked on and coming out phenominal either. Different teams here at SR doing different things. But, they all kind of come together and it is really great to see that unfold. A system for making music based on the right kind of content and inspiration. I am excited to use it just as much as anyone else! Already using RAW to spice up some tracks. So handy for that.

Hint: I think RMX users in paricular will be extra happy. :o

This collection is amazing for stylus RMX. In RMX, I use mostly groove elements so I have maximum control of each element, and RAW is an awesome addition. It has almost 300 'hihat only' loops alone. All the loops I've auditioned (there's a lot to go through) so far are great.

I recommend this product. If anyone knows of any other loop libraries that focus on groove elements (hihat only loops, etc), let me know because I'm always looking for more.

hope I am allowed. The Burning Groove Xpander, near the end of it has elements only loops. But I suspect no where the amount that RAW has.
I get it in my hands tomorrow am. can't wait.

well two things would make me happy for RMX...
more complete groove suites. that is break downs, endings etc.. and like jeffb01 mentioend....more groove elements...

in other words I think my wish may come through.
Studio Profiles the RMX version :-)

some of the RAW loops as downloadable packgages would be nice. maybe categorized by instrument type, like
bass loops
drums loops
keyboard loops
and so forth

ok, let me be honest. I didn't like the SP SE that was sold in the group buy. Haven't used it once in any project.
Wasn't too impressed by the RAW demos on the site.
but damn I got it, installed it and only got to play with it for about 20 minutes.
I LOVE IT.... great job........this will inspire me and help a lot.....
thanks sonic reality........
looking forward to the product that will make RMX users happy.

Well, that's good to hear about RAW. One thing I think that makes RAW a good one for just about anyone is the sheer amount of variety within ONE collection. You can try so many things so quickly it becomes a very creative package. There's a good chance there are things in there that you normally would not have intentionally sought out as a purchased library theme itself but once you have them you try it out and see... kind of exploring what happens when you mix this with that.

Besides that, as pointed out earlier, there are a LOT of groove elements in this that you can use to build up your OWN construction kits almost ad infinitum.

Anyway, glad to hear the good reports! We worked REALLLLLLLY hard for it to be this broad. Major variety. Good bang for the buck too. If we wanted to have one sort of "Flagship" loop product that could be a hit, this would be it. The one we hope everyone can't resist. Word of mouth definitely can help make that happen and we appreciate that very much... I imagine the people you recommend it to would as well!

I'm still going through it, and I have to admit I really like - it contrasts yet compliments RMX in a really nice way. RMX makes you feel like a producer, with very stylised grooves, while RAW makes you feel like an engineer in that it gives you direct access to the tracks in their original form, allowing you to shape them however you choose.

If there is one element of criticism, it's with documentation. While there is enough to obviously cover installation, some more detail on what went into each group would have been nice, as while there's little room to describe a groove in the file-type, I would have thought you could have extended this in the documentation (ie. what kits used/equipment), just to add some detail/depth into things. With all the stories/info Squids gives on the site, I thought you would have jumped at the chance to inform people.

Anyways, i'm still in the process of discovering this beast - so far, easily the best addition to either Reason or RMX i've purchased - maybe in the long run as good as say, Distorted Reality 2. ;)

We're VERY happy with the response the library has gotten and I hope that the word is spreading. If people considered it to be the ultimate addition to Stylus RMX and Reason then we MAY just have a real winner on our hands. IF that were to happen it would provide us with the support we need to get this stuff done even faster and go even more nuts in the studio than we did already (on the hunch that everyone would like it if we did and this is just the tip of the iceberg even).

On the docs, well, we were planning on doing more docs on the more specific titles. RAW has SOOOOOOOO much material from so many different sources that it would be a BOOK! But, I'd be happy to talk about any of the loops in it if anyone is curious about something. There's always the INTERACTIVE documentations (this forum ;) ). That said, we may update in the future with some loop stories. You're right, it was an opportunity but we were concentrating more on the material and also a few utility apps that we are working on as well for the FULL RAW 3 format version.

While pricer's suggestion is a good one, I want you and the lads to put your heads down and not eat or sleep until the FUll RAW3 format version is complete. :) Although mine doesn't arrive till tomorrow, I just realized that while it's going to be great as REX with my RMX and SX3, I really, really, really need the WAVs for Live5.

Those that can, do. Those that can't, argue about it on k-v-r

Yeah, this is the benefit of having the Rex Edition out there first. I think we'll put together some fun docs for the full RAW 3 format version. Some story behind the loops.

Spread the word!!!!!
