The lights from Ikea - those are LED candles, right? DO they flicker annoyingly? Or is the light steady-ish?endmusik wrote:Note the uber hip ikea lights.

well, combination of things - a: my rent is really pretty fair b: the studio is partly self sufficientG-Ro124 wrote:how much are you paying in real estate for all that stuff considering you're in NYC??!! i can barely afford my apartment!endmusik wrote:the modular is a 44 space synthesizers.com system - 4 oscillators, 2 filters, a sequencer, and a bunch of other funky stuff
I had a roomate move out this month so the studio expanded to take over what WAS my bedroom - originally I slept on a futon couch in the corner, with a small wardrobe for clothes/etc. People who saw the space were amazed at my ability to live like that. I really don't know how I did it now that I've got a full bed in another room now
As to the ikea lights - those are actually just fogged glass with I think 35 watt light bulbs in them (they're like glowing balls - god knows if I'll be able to find replacements outside of ikea)
they really don't illuminate well, but they're all I have for now. Time for me to invest in some more lighting!

according to peeps, they kinda glow more orange than they expected. But I might give those a whirl.
I like your studio space, though - rox!

Yeah, I was agreeing. I lived in NYC for a while and I paid a thousand per month for a one room flat (and I mean ONE room) on 86th. So, obviously, to have a room you can make into a dedicated studio must cost quite a lot.G-Ro124 wrote:thanks asshole the f**k's your problem??xander wrote:Yeah -- no shitG-Ro124 wrote:how much are you paying in real estate for all that stuff considering you're in NYC??!! i can barely afford my apartment!endmusik wrote:the modular is a 44 space synthesizers.com system - 4 oscillators, 2 filters, a sequencer, and a bunch of other funky stuff

I've only had it a short time, and haven't really had time to get into it. I think bases would be covered in Reaktor. I think Reaktor is deeper, especially with the sample mangling. Still, it's nice to build something, save it and take the little module to the club and play.mckenic wrote:Ooouh...
